Thirteen-Country Research Project Yields Key Insights Into The Latest PC-Driven Technologies for Small Businesses
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado, November 21, 2005 – IntelliClear today announced the publication of six regional whitepapers directed at small businesses worldwide detailing Intel-driven technologies that focus on PCs and the impact of those technologies on the security, data reliability, and efficiency of small businesses. The newly published whitepapers include the results of in-depth interviews conducted with key small business influencers in North America, Eastern and Western Europe, Asia Pacific, China, and Latin America. The Whitepapers for each of the six regions are immediately available as free downloads from the IntelliClear website at www.intelliclear.com.
“The results of our global study reinforced the notion that the centerpiece of a viable competitive and operational strategy for small businesses is a fully functional PC infrastructure,” says Alex Kalamarides, Ph.D., Managing Director and General Partner of IntelliClear. “From the development of flyers and other demand-generating marketing materials, to the use of accounting software and spreadsheets for financial analysis and on-going process improvement, well-performing PCs enable small businesses to manage their operations more effectively in any country environment,” says Dr. Kalamarides.
IntelliClear was commissioned by Intel Corporation to conduct the worldwide study, which focused on a number of processor-based technologies for PCs that deliver significant benefits to small businesses such as: automatic anti-virus updates and remote management via Intel Active Management Technology®; buffer overflow and worm virus protection via Intel Execute Disable Bit®; secure computing without efficiency degradation or the threat of security software tampering via increased processor performance; improved data reliability and redundancy via Intel Matrix Storage Technology® combined with a second hard drive; and organizational efficiency gains through the use of PC-based voice over Internet protocol (VoIP).
“While the detailed perspectives varied among individuals from each of the thirteen countries we conducted the research, collectively there resonated a common theme of small businesses requiring a more fool-proof way of protecting their business while increasing operational efficiency,” says Eric Shuster, Founder and CEO of IntelliClear. “Becoming a more prepared, competitive, and profitable entity are the key goals for small businesses across the globe, and it’s clear that information technology that performs to its peak potential is a primary path being used by these firms to get there,” says Shuster. The six new publications join a variety of other topical whitepapers written by IntelliClear covering a wide range of IT subjects and are available for free from the IntelliClear website.
